Jessica and Matthew were actually high school sweethearts who met their Freshman year! After nine years together, they decided now was the time to tie the knot, celebrating their marriage at the beautiful Lakeside Country Club.
I was connected with Matthew and Jessica through their amazing wedding planner Julie Myers at Keely Thorne Events. Julie made sure their wedding day was perfect down to every last detail.
For their engagement session we actually took photos at Lakeside which gave me an opportunity to find all of the perfect locations for portraits before the big day. I always love getting to know my couples during their engagement session. It meant that when we got to their actual wedding day, they were already comfortable in front of the camera. I think that really shines through in their couple’s portraits on the grounds of this stunning venue, and it’s why I always advise couples to work with the same wedding photographer for their engagement session and wedding day.
Jessica wore a Galia Lahav wedding gown and it was absolutely stunning. The Lakeside Country Club wedding venue was the perfect setting for her beauty, and every detail, from the House of Hough floral linens on the head table to the glorious flowers by Maxit Flower Design came together perfectly.
One of the sweetest moments of the day was the father-daughter dance. Since Jessica is the oldest child in her family, and first to get married, her wedding was a huge milestone for their family. Her father’s heartfelt speech brought the whole room to tears, and the dance that they shared was an incredibly tender moment.
