The Adolphus Hotel: Wedding Planning Guide

As a wedding photographer who travels widely, I have captured the tender moments of a couple’s special day in some of the most breathtaking places. The gorgeous city of Dallas, TX is no exception when it comes to stunning parks and memorable architecture. But there is one space in downtown Dallas that is literally fit for a Queen when it comes to venues. Queen Elizabeth II stayed here with her late husband Prince Phillip, and I can see why! The Adolphus Hotel wedding venue is absolutely exquisite. If you are considering this space for your nuptials, I’ve created this Wedding Planning Guide to help.

About The Adolphus Hotel

This remarkable hotel was built in the early 20th century, modeled after a Germanic castle. It was conceptualized by Adolphus Busch, one of the co-founders of Anheuser-Busch, and opened in 1912 as the very first luxury hotel in Dallas, TX. It’s located right next to the AT&T Discovery District, in the heart of downtown.

This historic and luxurious hotel is more than capable of making your wedding dreams come true. Whether you are hosting an intimate affair, or a Texas-sized celebration, Paula Fenner, Director of Catering & Convention Services, and her remarkable team at The Adolphus Hotel can handle every detail with excellence.

Important Details for Arriving at The Adolphus Hotel

As a local and international wedding photographer, I can appreciate knowing the logistics of getting to and from your hotel. For your loved ones who will be traveling into Dallas for your special day, The Adolphus Hotel is located 20 minutes from Dallas Love Field (DAL) airport, and 30 minutes from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) airport. While the hotel does not provide a shuttle service to and from the airports, there are several rideshare services you can set up transportation with.

Any guests, including you and your future spouse, who will be staying at The Adolphus Hotel for the wedding will want to know that check-in begins at 3 pm and check-out is at noon. Should you and/or your guests arrive early, the hotel has a lovely bar and lounge area when you can relax and toast to your upcoming nuptials. The Adolphus Hotel wedding venue and all other areas are handicap accessible, should any of your guests require this. And for the tech-savvy guest, high-speed wireless internet is available.

Choosing The Adolphus Hotel wedding venue is not only luxurious, but it’s also very convenient.
